Establishing the Rules.

As best friends, Jillian and I came to the conclusion that this Summer it is necessary to go wild. Mostly because by next summer we'll be eighteen, and therefore more vulnerable to the law than we currently are, (yay for being a minor) but also because it's our last guaranteed summer together. We don't know what may be happening next summer, so we are determined to live this summer like it will be our last.

Now, we take all this bucketlist business very seriously, so we've kind of set up a system for how this is all going to work. You may want to read the rules so you can understand what exactly will be occuring in the posts that will follow this introcuctory one.

First order of business:
Escape the prison otherwise known as "school." (Did I mention that all the teachers were wearing t-shirts with the label "security" sprawled across the front of them today? NOT COOL.) Seriously though, we've got to get out of there. Tuesday cannot come soon enough.

Second order of business:
Purchase/birth a bear at the infamous Build-a-Bear workshop. Name the child, and declare him the official bucketlist bear. He will then accompany us on every adventure we feel the need to experience in the months to come. He will be our child; we will love him.

Third order of business:
Remember to create a new dance move that will accurately depict each thing we cross off our list. This really isn't necessary, but it's definitely something we feel the need to do. We like dancing. (Especially with cones. But that's a story for another time and another place.)

Fourth order of business:
Anyone is allowed to join our insanity at any given point in time. Unless we don't want them to.

Fifth order of business:
Try to do at least one thing off the list each week.

And lastly,

Sixth order of business:
Document every last waking moment of our summer on this blog. This is the official blog of the Summer Insanity 2012. (P.s. That's what we call ourselves, Insanity. It's like a group name, and we believe it's actually very fitting. Go with it.)
This summer will be unforgettable.
